History of the park

Family owned Since ‘1996‘

In 1996, Gordon Krantz stepped into retirement with a vision that led him straight to Lake Fork, a place renowned for its prime bass fishing. This wasn't just about finding a peaceful spot to settle down; it was about creating something lasting. Along with his son Robert, who joined in 1996, they saw the untapped potential of Lake Fork — a chance to build the first RV and mobile home park in Rains County, transforming their frequent fishing trips from Houston into a foundation for the future.

Gordon, as the visionary, dove headfirst into the development of the park. His son, Robert, soon joined in to help his father's dream come to fruition, bringing energy and support to the project. Meanwhile, Nancy (Nana), along with Gordon's mother, Ann, stayed behind for a year in Houston before making the move to Lake Fork.

Rolling Fork RV Park was born from a love for fishing, a commitment to family, and a leap of faith into retirement investment. Today, under the leadership of Robert and his wife, Cherry, the park continues to thrive, with Nancy providing closer supervision to ensure the legacy of Gordon's dream continues.

The park has grown from a visionary project into a cherished destination offering a community where anglers and families gather, share stories, and enjoy the bounty of Lake Fork. Here, every visitor becomes part of the fabric of our history, joining a story that's as much about catching fish as it is about capturing moments that matter.
